Retention and deletion

Ressura keeps what your company needs for as long as your company uses it, and deletes it on a fixed timetable when you leave. This page gives the periods. The binding words are in the Data Processing Agreement and the Privacy Policy.

While you use Ressura

Your documents, the values extracted from them, your Records, your Organisational context, your findings and their dispositions stay for as long as the company exists. So does the activity ledger, which only grows. A finding is never edited after it is raised. A later answer or a replacement document is recorded beside it with its own date.

Three fixed periods

  • A first session without an account: 30 days. Documents dropped in before sign-up belong to a session, not an account. If no account claims them within 30 days, the session and its documents are deleted.
  • Raw rows from a Connection: 90 days. When a Connection brings rows in, Ressura keeps the raw copy as delivered for 90 days and then drops it. The Records and documents built from those rows stay.
  • After you leave: 60 and 90 days. Once a company closes its account, its data is deleted from active systems within 60 days and from backup copies within 90.

Disconnecting a Connection

Disconnecting stops new documents and rows arriving. What the Connection already brought into the Data Room stays, marked with its origin, until you delete it or close the company. An admin can disconnect at any time.

Deleting your company

Closing the company is the Owner's decision, and today it is done by written request: the Owner writes to [email protected]. You may ask first for a copy of your data in a usable format, and Ressura returns it before deleting the rest. Closing removes the Data Room, the Records, the findings and every member's access, and the fixed periods above then apply to active systems and backups.

What Ressura may keep longer

Where a law requires Ressura to keep something, such as proof of what you paid, it keeps only that, only for as long as the law requires, and uses it for nothing else. An engagement shared with a lender or investor is kept for the history of that engagement rather than deleted by default. A permanent deletion is done on request, after a check that no other engagement refers to it.

Your own personal information

Your name, email address and role are kept while you have an account. Depending on where you live, you can ask to see, correct or delete them, or to receive a copy. The Privacy Policy lists the rights and how to use them.

How your data is handled and Where your data lives cover the rest of the picture. The Subprocessors page names each provider.
