QuickBooks Online
Checked against the app on September 30, 2026Ressura connects to QuickBooks Online through its own Intuit app, so there is nothing to create or copy. You sign in to Intuit once and approve Ressura for your company. Ressura reads your books and never writes to them.
Before you start
You need to be an admin of your company in Ressura, because only an admin can connect a system. In QuickBooks you need to be the primary admin or a company admin, because only an admin can approve an app. It takes about two minutes.
To check your QuickBooks role, sign in to QuickBooks, open the Settings gear and choose Manage users. Your row shows your role. If you are not an admin, ask the primary admin to connect Ressura, or to make you a company admin.
In QuickBooks, approve Ressura
There is no key or secret to find in QuickBooks. You approve Ressura on Intuit's own page, which Ressura opens for you in the next section:
- Sign in with your usual Intuit account, the one you use for QuickBooks.
- If your account holds more than one company, pick the company to connect.
- Intuit lists what Ressura asks for: access to your accounting data. Choose Connect.
Intuit only offers apps one kind of access to accounting data, which would allow changes. Ressura only ever reads; it never creates, edits or deletes anything in QuickBooks.
In Ressura, connect it
- Open Connections from the Data Room and choose QuickBooks Online.
- Choose Connect QuickBooks. Ressura sends you to Intuit to approve it, as above.
- Back in Ressura, the page says Connected to your company's name and lists the company under Connected companies with its status: Connected, Needs attention or Disconnected.
To connect a second QuickBooks company, choose Connect QuickBooks again and pick the other company at Intuit.
What it brings in and what it costs
Before its first sync, the company shows its Backfill window. Ressura imports up to twelve months of history, newest first. Shorten the Months of history if you only need recent activity, then choose Confirm backfill window and Sync now.
QuickBooks brings in only what the Modules you have added use:
- For Procure-to-Pay: your supplier invoices, which QuickBooks calls Bills, and your vendor credits, each line a row, and your vendors as Records.
- For Order-to-Cash: your sales invoices and credit memos, each line a row, and your customers as Records.
- For the General Ledger: your journal entries, each line a row.
A Module you add later brings its part in on the next sync. Rows are metered at 10 rows per credit, pooled across every Connection. Records are free. The page shows how many rows and Records have arrived.
PDFs attached to your supplier invoices are listed under PDFs attached to supplier invoices and are not added on their own. Choose Add to Data Room on one and it costs 10 credits, the same as a document you upload.
After the backfill, the company syncs about once a day, and also soon after QuickBooks tells Ressura that something changed. A supplier invoice edited in QuickBooks is updated in the Data Room and not charged again; its earlier values stay in its history. If your credits run out, the sync pauses before the next debit, shows how many rows are waiting, and offers Subscribe to resume, so nothing waiting is lost.
When it needs attention
If Intuit stops accepting Ressura's access, because someone disconnected Ressura in QuickBooks or the approval expired, the company shows Needs attention and Reconnect to QuickBooks. Choose it and approve Ressura again at Intuit; the company picks up where it left off.
If QuickBooks itself was unavailable, the company says so; choose Retry sync once it is back.
Disconnect stops the sync, and the rows and documents already in the Data Room stay, with QuickBooks Online recorded as their origin. Reconnect to QuickBooks connects it again.

Connections and what they bring in covers every Connection in one place, and The Data Room shows where the rows and documents land. Procure-to-Pay checks the supplier invoices QuickBooks brings in, and Order-to-Cash checks the invoices you issued.
