Members and roles
Checked against the app on September 27, 2026Ressura works on one company at a time, and everything in it belongs to that company and to the people you have invited into it. Each person has a role in the company that they choose for themselves, and a role Ressura gives them that sets what they may do. This page is about the second.
The three roles
- Owner. One person per company, the person who created it unless ownership was transferred. The Owner is also an admin, and alone can transfer ownership to another admin, delete the company, and give the Owner's approval to the rejection of a fraud-risk finding.
- Admin. Connects, syncs and disconnects Connections, manages members, subscribes to modules and buys top-ups, approves context changes when approval is required, and sees the names and personal details of people who are subjects.
- Member. Adds documents, reads findings and answers whatever Ressura asks. Members see the Data Room, the Connections list and every finding, and see an id rather than a name where a subject is a person, such as the employees Payroll & HR checks.
Invite the people who handle your invoices and agreements. The more of them who answer Ressura's questions, the fewer questions anyone is asked.
Inviting someone
Open Member Access in Settings. Under Invite member, enter the person's email address, choose a role, and choose Invite member. The person needs a Ressura account under that address already; if none is found the page says so, and the person should sign in once first. Current members lists everyone in the company with their role.
Your role in the company
Separately, each person chooses their role in the company at sign-up: CEO, CFO, Finance team, External accountant, Business or Board member. It sets whether accounting terms are explained in plain words beside them, which you can flip under Account settings, and it shapes how Ask Ressura speaks to you. It never changes what you may see or do.
Your company
Company details in Settings shows the active company's profile: its name, its legal form and, if you have declared them, its latest funding round and capital raised, which set the startup discount. If you work with several companies, the company menu at the top switches between them or creates another. Each company keeps its own Data Room, findings, members and credits.
Two people for a fraud-risk rejection
Rejecting a fraud-risk finding from Fraud Watch takes two people, and one of them must be the Owner. A company with only one member cannot reject one, and is told why. That is why a second admin is worth inviting early.
